Sacred Cow

A person whose behavior has become immune to consequence. They hold disproportionate leverage — through tenure, relationships, technical knowledge, or political capital — and the organization has decided that tolerating the problem is cheaper than addressing it. That calculation is usually wrong, but it takes an outside perspective to prove it.
